Adopted! / We failed :-)

Matt and I adopted Peanut yesterday...
I think she's pretty happy about it:-)

Sweet & playful...

Peanut is crated while we are gone, but sleeps outside her crate next to my bed at night and she sleeps the whole night through:-) She does whine/ cry some in her crate, but does settle down. I have a webcam on her so I'm able to watch her through the day. Due to her random crying I don't think she would do well in an apartment setting.

I clipped her toe nails last night while she was laying down, practically following asleep so it's safe to say she doesn't mind getting a manicure/ pedicure:-)She is such a sweet and playful girl, loves attention, she plopped down next to the couch last night so I could pet her.

The perfect name

A "Gracie" she is not:-) but that's not a bad thing...There are a lot of female greyhounds out there named Gracie, named for their graceful and tip toeing abilities. Peanut is just well the opposite, she's like a big happy lab that bounds around and plops down anywhere...

At first when I heard the "thud" I thought she was into something or fell or something, but nope that's just her plopping down on the hard floor to cool off. She really cracks me up:-)

Pea (is a) nut!

This girl has character! Loves to play with stuffies and play tug-a-war with our mutt Limo. Very playful with Limo as well.

*Walks great on a leash

*No storm phobia - she continued playing with her stuffies and Limo while we had a huge storm

*Soft fur, very pettable:-)

*Potty trained

*Has no problems on slick or hardwood floors

*Photogenic! just look at those pics!

*Travels get

*She won 38 races in her career!

Peanuts are good for you!

Peanut is the most gorgeous brindle girl. She returns from the run to a nicely laid out clean blanket which she immediately rakes into a nice little pile just to her liking and then plops down and smiles. You need to see her; she would be happy to help you with your laundry. Not to be missed. Hurry!

Saturday Night Walks

Peanut is one small, beautiful girl. She is petite and very well mannered. She is a real lover and would enjoy curling up with someone special and taking naps. Taking a nice walk would also suit her so...you can't lose!!

Peanut wonders...
Peanut wonders who will be her family?
Peanut is so smart, and so well behaved, and is really the one to come from behind and win your heart! She has been at the kennel for awhile, and I walk her every week, but it is just here of late that I have realized what an amazing dog she is.
Some of them MAKE you notice them, by jumping and barking, and being clowns, but not Peanut...she just waits for you to realize what a total package she is...and then you do.
She is waiting now, just waiting for the one who will take her home and love her forever and you can take the rest of her life discovering her Peanut-wonders each and every day.

I can sit like a lady

What a pleasant surprise tonight. When we came to the kennel to walk the dogs and Peanut  sitting as pretty as a picture in her run, looking at us with a face that was irresistible. She sat and sat and waited patiently for her turn to go out. What a sweet girl. Does she belong in your home?

This is one sweet girl! She is so refined and delicate but can get silly and playful in a minute. She is still recovering from being spayed but wanted so bad to join in the fun in the run with the others. What a gentle, beautiful little girl. We fell in love with her.

Fun in the run

I had so much fun tonight in the run. I chased the ball, bounded around, and came back to the human time after time to have my ears scratched. I just love the petting I get from the kennel walkers. Take me home with you, and you can give me ear scritches. I promise to return your affection 100 times over!
